Hey Mand, how are you doing today? I am so sorry that you are going through all this but I am right there with you. I didn't know what anemia was till I got diagnosed with it. I think I slept for 3 months straight. Mother's Day I was cooking dinner for my family (they should have been cooking for me :P). I had finally had it, I got up started cooking and after a while everything started going black, before I knew it I was down. Went to the Dr. my ferritin was a 2, iron stores 18, hemoglobin 7.5, hematocrit in the 30's. I thought I was dying. After a few months of taking iron I finally noticed my energy coming back a bit. I didn't feel like I was going to die from climbing a flight of stairs, my panic attacks were slowly going away. I still suffer from a lot of side effects but praying they are going away. Fingers crossed. That dose of iron is going to help you and make you feel so much better. Be thankful that you have a Dr. that is helping you take care of this a lot of ladies here struggle with their Dr's and saying they are ok when they are really not!

Have you had your B12 checked? Vit D? I would suggest taking a Super B complex as well as 2000 ui of vitamin D everyday as well. B's are awesome for you and if your not getting outside as much as you like, the D is good as well. Most Dr's suggest people take 2000 D a day regardless but for us anemic folk B and D are something we like to run low on too!

I am here if you ever need to talk!
