Bleeding and Anemia
Jun 15, 2013
I am scheduled for a Endoscope and Colonscopy Tuesday. Yesterday, I filled two toilet bowls full of red/maroon blood within a two hour period. The bleeding stopped. There was no stool. Afterwards, I was completely run down, lethargic, dizzy, lightheaded, and nauseous. I was scared and didn't want to inconvenience the Doctor (as he told me at the apt unless my hair is falling out, there's nothing to do until he finds the source of the bleeding). I ended up calling the Doctor's Office 4 hours later and they told me to go to the ER. As stubborn as I was I didn't. I ended up sleeping for over 6 hours, got up ate, and went back to bed. However, today I have got pins and needles in my arms and legs, I have a horrible headache and pressure feeling in my ears and I am tired again. Are these progressive symptoms? If they don't find anything from the scopes, do I pursue a Hematogist on my own? Do I continue to attempt to find the source of the bleeding? I just can't take the sleeping all the time and the symptoms.
