Hi everyone,
New member here.

I have recently had to have a medical for a Visa extension.

I have just received my results back, all seems ok. Although there was something that I noticed. My MCHC seemed a little high.

Someone on another message board said:

'Your red blood cells are concentrating a lot of hemoglobin and might be enlarged I know much. Macrocytic anemia could be the cause. Folic acid deficiency, liver disease, hereditary spherocytes, sickle cell, or a vitamin B12 deficiency could be responsible for this kind of anemia'

I am British although in NZ for another year. I have no further medicals due.

Is this anything I need to worry about? Should I make an appointment to show my blood test results to my local GP here in nz? As no one will look at these results again. Do MCHC levels fluctuate? i.e if i have another blood test, could they show lower results?

I'm 27, in general fit and healthy. I have recently quit smoking after 10 years, trying to get healthier again.

Any comments or advice appreciated. (please see my results below)

Thanks in advance
