Hi, I'm a new member here and I'm hoping that y'all can help me because I haven't been able to find very much information at all!

Anyway, I'm a 20 year old female who has been struggling with anemia since around age 18. My freshman year of college, I felt very ill all the time, slept 16-18 hours a day, grew very pale, craved carbs, gained weight, etc., and when my mom took me to the doctor, she took my blood and did a standard hemoglobin test, which came back normal, but refused to do the more in-depth tests to check me for anemia because "she would've noticed it". This kind of put my mom off a bit, but she accepted it and took me home. Two months later I was getting increasingly worse, and so my mom took me back to the doctor and insisted on another test. The doctor begrudgingly complied and it came back with results of "severe iron deficiency anemia". Needless to say, I don't go to that doctor anymore.

I felt a bit better after that, though never 100%, but well enough to deal with it. But more recently, I've felt my symptoms get so much worse, even worse than they were when I was 18, and I don't know what to do about it. My days are planned around when I can take naps and how early I can go to bed. I wake up in the middle of the night because my heart is racing so fast and I can barely make it up a flight of stairs without getting out of breath. I'm pale and my metabolism is pretty much at a standstill and it just really sucks because I'm only 20 years old and I feel SO much older. I spend a good part of every day just struggling to force my way through everything I have to do. I'm on iron supplements, but with how busy I get with school, I rarely remember to take them, and when I do, they make me sick. I can't win.

Long backstory, I know, but I'm going to put the results of my last blood test (taken in July) below and see what y'all think. I really want to ask about the possibility of iron injections or infusions, because this is seriously taking a toll on my life and I want to feel better more than anything. I appreciate any advice anyone might have and I'm sorry that this post turned out to be such a novel.

Here are the results of my last test. The first number is the level in my blood, and the second number is the level at which it should be.
