Low Iron Symptoms??
Jan 16, 2015
Hi There!!

I had a bad nose bleed Dec 2013 and I have not felt the same since.

When it happened I was extremely exhausted (couldn't even walk around the mall) and would get short of breath quick.

But for the majority of this past year..my appetite hasn't been the same...constant body aches...and joint pains.

Has anyone else suffered these symptoms? Also my leg hurts sometimes like an "old person"...I'm 35.

Doctor ran blood tests in Nov 2014 showed Ferritin level at 8.

Started taking Blood Builder around Thanksgiving.

Could low iron cause joint troubles?? And how long will it take to get my iron up??

Thanks in advance :)

Yes to everything!!! My arms would ache whe. Washing my hair! It's a little better now, my ferritin was actually negative! It is up to 21 now and I am still struggling with symptoms! Eat eggs and hot cereal like cream of wheat and cream of rice! I hope you feel better soon!
Lol! I have anxiety also so it fits! I worry about everything and this low ferritin and iron thing has me going crazy!!!! How is everything going?
Hi Carly, I actually saw a new doctor today and told her about my joint/body aches and she just looked puzzled at me and said probably not from low ferritin. She said it causes you to feel tired but not typically joint aches as I was describing. Now I really feel confused. She said I could go to a rhematologist?
