... FLFLOWERGIRL - Just found an article that says about 5% of gastro bleeds occur in the small bowel, which can only be PARTLY seen using endoscopy or colonoscopy. Apparently, the standard endoscope can only see about 2 feet into the small intestine, although the enteroscope can see further, but not all. ... Thanks for your concern, I've had the infusions which help raise the stats a bit. Unfortunatly i can't handle the over the counter iron supplements. The only thing I have had that was done with x-ray were a couple of ct scans w/ the barium. I think it was to test for crohn's or at least a bad section of the bowel. Both test were inconclusive.
