Ferrous sulphate would correct the levels but if its an absorbtion or keeping iron stores then you could look into underlying causes, maybe treat that problem if there is one, rather than being reliant on ferrous sulphate. ... ... Yes it's possible to have a ferritin that low. With anemia ferritin is one of the first things that will start dropping. Low ferritin causes many many side effects, a lot of the ones you have listed. I had a couple episodes with my vision as well. ... (3 replies)
