... Of course it freaked me out...your body needs to sort things out and it is a long road. I haven't had it while doing infusions but I have had it while taking iron orally. It takes 3 months for your body to make new blood cells. Anemia is a long hard battle. ... (2 replies)

So once you get the infusions, it's going to take 3 months for your marrow to start spitting out the new feisty red blood cells that have been made with the right amount of iron -- all those old tiny pale cells will be cycled out. ... THe side effects you'll have on Pred will depend on you dosage. When I weighed 120, then put me on 60mg, and that dose was really high. It messed up my concentraiton, my moods, my sleep, and my memory. Your best bet is to ask to take Xanax with it, which will keep you from yelling at people, and try to cut down on your sodium intake.
