... Hey guys, I've suffered from low ferritin (usually around 10) for 2 years now. My doctor recommended I take iron supplements, which haven't done anything. I've tried everything, I take it on an empty stomach, take it with vitamin C, I've taken it in liquid form, too. I can tolerate an enormous amount of iron. Now I am taking 4-5 iron pills a day, with absolutely no side... (2 replies)
... Try switching the type of iron you take. Polysaccharide iron and carbonyl iron are very well tolerated and absorbed, but not what doctors usually prescribe. You can order either online. Walgreens carries something called Bifera which alot of people have luck with. ... (2 replies)
