... hi i was diagnosed with hashis and low iron at tha same time but my ferritin was very low it was 17 the range is 30 ti 250 but anything under 70 is on the low side i always get this but someone said thata as your ferritn and iron stores get back to normal it sorts itself ot, i think thats right 5 years a go i lost about 5 pints of blood and i had this symptom... ... still getting your period, you may never reach the optimum ferritin level of 70. The last thing to be effected is your hgb, hct. Your RDW will increase as your ferritn level goes down. Now for me I know when my platelets goes up beyond 325 and my RBC goes down I know that my ferritin is going down. ... (19 replies)

... What is you hgb level and other CBC? You could well be anemic. As far as you vision, I never had that problem being anemic. I did have balance issues due to anemia. (5 replies)

... AshleyMichele23--An ideal ferritin would be somewhere between 70-100 with 50 being the lowest. I have not hit 50 yet but I THINK that I'm getting there. I'm starting to feel better again.
