... Well, I'm back... Graves Disease is "hyper" thyroid. I had a colonoscopy/endoscopy done-had 2 polyps in the colon that were normal, a polyp in my stomach which was normal, and one in my duodenum which was also normal. ... get your iron saturation, iron serum, and ferritin numbers checked. With anemia usually the first thing to go is ferritin, iron serum, saturation, and then your hemoglobin and hematocrit will begin dipping. ... Hi, I'm a bit confused by some recent test results. I've been anemic a few times before: several times as a kid, once before I was diagnosed with celiac, about a year ago (while I had some severe period bleeding), and now (not bleeding so much anymore). A year ago my lab results were: RBC: 3.87 (4.2-5.10) L Hemoglobin: 12.6 (11.7-17.1) Hematocrit: 36.8 (38.5-45.0) ... (3 replies)

... I think it's a normal thing. When I was anemic and as my lab reflected it was a long, long process getting to that point, my RBC's were consistently normal values. However, my Hgb was 8.5 and my ferritin a 2, so I would say it is normal. That has been my personal experience. Now, when there is a simple iron deficiency anemia present, your labs with look like this: CBC... (12 replies)
