... Thanks for your quick reply. Yes I do take all of those things. I actually take a 50,000iu a week of Vitamin D along with the muti. I usually take 2 or 3 iron per day. Along with those I end up having to take Stool Softners due to the effects of so much iron. I haven't had my B12 or Folate checked that I know of. ... (6 replies)

... Sherry, I can't answer your question about why you are iron deficient after eating lots of iron rich foods. My answer was pretty clear. I had a baby, didnt take vitamins, eat no red meat, and very little fruits and veggies. Docs didnt even bother testing any further when I told them that. ... (14 replies)

Well, I dont think low ferretin is an indicator of B12 deficiency, BUT, B12 supplements are generaly considered pretty safe, so if you want to try one for a few months and see what happens, there isnt much harm in that. The sublingual ones are best, range 2000 to 5000mcg per day are pretty typical doseages. ... (10 replies)
