... People become anemic for many reasons. Seems yours is from the gastric bypass which is not uncommon for people that have had this done. My gp sent me for routine bloodwork last week and finding that the hemoglobin hasn't improved at all, plus lots of other things were out of whack, he referred me to a hemotologist. Maybe you could ask your gp for a referral, or contact a hemotologist on your own? (7 replies)

... and ovarian cysts and other gyn problems to a certain extent...he mainly works on the small bowel and does gastric bypass surgeries, small bowel stuff, etc, so I know he's not exactly an expert in the gyn area. ... (31 replies)
