... Shirley--So it has not been that long since your surgery. I hope that you receive good results when you go back in Oct. Long term low ferritin wouldn't make the B-12 stores low. Yes, I do think that it has something to do with you not feeling well. How much I can't really say. If you are still having heavy bleeding with the periods then that too will make you feel bad. ... A lot of thyroid sufferers have issues with low ferretin and difficult to raise ferretin, just like they tend to have a low Vit D and a tendancy to be either gluten intolerant or Celiac.
