... Hi everyone. Got a call from my doctor today saying my CBC from my routine physical was not normal. Basically: RBC = high WBC = high Platelets = high RDW = high Hematocrit= low MCV = low MCH = low MCHC = low Hemoglobin and all the subtypes of WBC were normal. (0 replies)

... x3virgie--I don't know, you can have both iron deficiency and Thasselemia at the same time. Look up Thasselemia on CBC. Often times people with this disorder have a low MCV and microcytic anemia that looks the same as iron deficiency anemia. Do you have it in your family? I really don't know too much about this.
