... am really looking for answers as to what any or all of this may mean. I have no problem with researching any leads. Can the combination of all of these things mean something? ... (1 replies)
... Hello everyone, I had some blood tests because I've been having gastric problems. Everything is in the 'normal' range apart from these. I'm guessing they're not too far out if the range to matter, but just thought I would check Eosinophil count 0.0 x10^9/L (0.04-0.50) "Low" Red blood cell (RBC) count 3.91 x10^12/L (4.0 - 5.5) "Low" Mean corpusc. haemoglobin (MCH) 33.7... ... I'm a 40 year old female. Could the RBC being low result in fatigue? ... (0 replies)

... yeah, my CBC was not much worse than yours when I was tested (except for MCV which was too low)and I developed symptoms a couple of months before the test so at that time -when symptoms started- the CBC data could have been even better. MCH is another piece of data about RBC's (mean cell hemoglobin i.e. on average how much hemoglobin is in a cell), but I guess that was in... (19 replies)
... Your MCV,MCH and RBC are very similar to mine. I am having more bloodwork done this week. My Dr. has checked me for a B12 deficiency and low folic acid. Now she is even sending me for a colonoscopy, and checking feritin among other things. ... (1 replies)
... My RBC are also low, but it's pretty consistent over time. ... (1 replies)
... Could low thyroid cause this? ... (5 replies)
... Both doctors are saying what is correct. The ferritin level is ok. It is stored iron. That means you have an adequate supply and you really don't want to mess with that. When the stores get high that is another disease you do not want. The Red Blood Cell count is by itself no indicator of anemia. The Hemaglobin is the official designator of how much functional iron you have... (1 replies)
... I was told by an endocrinologist that I am a little anemic due to the fact that my RBC was 3. ... (1 replies)
... hematocrit took a nosedive recently. Heck, my RBC were better during chemo! I really don't understand the role Ferritin plays in all of this. Vit B12 looks fine. So does iron. ... (7 replies)
... Hello, anemic friends! I'm new to the board and have been reading the posts like crazy trying to make sense of my recent discouraging blood test results. The results are similar to many others who've posted, but I wanted to run them by the forum in case something stood out. Any insights, advice or just plain encouragement would be very welcome. A little background. I'm a... (0 replies)
... First of all thanks so much for replying. No, they don't know what is causing it. That is one reason my PCP is sending me to a hematologist. My PCP said she doesn't believe that I am bleeding internally since my H&H is normal. She thinks that I am not able to absorb the iron properly. She is concerned because last August my ferritin level was 8.2, they rechecked it on... (4 replies)
... Wow - I think I've found my twin. My lab results are very similar to yours and I have the same symptoms as you, so I'm looking forward to seeing a reply regarding the possible causes of low RBC, low WBC, low hemoglobin, low hematacrit - yet iron, B12, ferritin, folate, transferrin levels all are normal (never heard of most of this stuff). I was also checked for Celiac and... (3 replies)
... For the past five years, everytime he has had a CBC done, his RBC comes in low and the MCV and MCH are high. His doctor said this is not a concern. ... (3 replies)
... What does a low RBC, AUTO level mean? ... (1 replies)
... i was recently diagnosed with anemia because of my hemoglobin and hematocrit and rbc results. ... (0 replies)
... You may not be iron anemia but you have something going on and would suspect it has something to do with B12 as yours is low your MCV is a little high to did they not look at that as are RBC and WBC? ... (12 replies)
... I'm really confused now. I had blood work done that showed slightly low RBC, hematocrit and hemoglobin. The doctor suggested that I take an iron supplement. ... (1 replies)
