... Your MCV must really be low in that case. In anemia all your labs are thrown off being low with the exception of the RDW and Platelets and they are High. This really freaked me out when I first saw my labs, it made me want to cry, also because I felt so bad. ... (2 replies)

... I think it's a normal thing. When I was anemic and as my lab reflected it was a long, long process getting to that point, my RBC's were consistently normal values. However, my Hgb was 8.5 and my ferritin a 2, so I would say it is normal. That has been my personal experience. ... Hi everyone. Got a call from my doctor today saying my CBC from my routine physical was not normal. Basically: RBC = high WBC = high Platelets = high RDW = high Hematocrit= low MCV = low MCH = low MCHC = low Hemoglobin and all the subtypes of WBC were normal. (0 replies)
