Mild Anemia?

... your doctor ran a ferritin test. Some doctors routinely run it and others never do. It is not part of the CBC test, although I think it should be. If you have copies of your reports, the test will say "Ferritin". ... (8 replies)

Ferretin Level?

... Many people here have that too. I am one of these people. It causes heavy periods in some people which can lead to anemia. You need to follow through and have it retested, a lot of docs don't want to treat until your numbers go way up. Many doc's think that borderline is worth treating. ... (7 replies)
Re; iron infusions

... many thanks for reply. had 1st infusion today, so far so good, felt a bit weird during infusion (like being slightly drunk) and felt a bit queasy this evening. Due to have another on thursday, then one following week. Due to be seen by gyne doc cos heavy periods seem to be the problem, got my ferritin up from 2 to 7 with spatone water then go back down to 2/3 after period.... (13 replies)
