... Missybaby50--I agree with ChickieLou that a low ferritin causes syptoms, mostly fatigue I believe. I am not so sure about shortness of breath though, I am not a doctor. Shortness of breath is (usually) a common symptom of anemia and a very low Hgb. There can be several things you might want to check out if it continues. Lungs, Cardio and Thyroid.
