... It depends on what they give you. Ive had venofer, that takes about an hour (the first dose takes about 2 1/2 - they do it slow to make sure your not allergic first time round). I had them one a one a week for 6 weeks, but cause of heavy menstrual bleeding, I was having them every 3-4 months. The last infusion I had was cosmofer - that took about 8 hours, but they reckon it... (1 replies)

... As I learned from my own experiences dealing with unresponsive drs, FIND A NEW DR. I wondered has you dr given you a diagnosis? Saying you have IDA is not sufficient. There must be a reason given for it: e.g. your diet, inability to absorb, or a medical or hereditary condition. So....which is it?
