My endocrinologist wanted me to supplement with 325mg iron daily when my ferritin was 38 , so for sure I think your doc should get you started on iron supplements and then monitor your levels till you get in a good range. ... ... You could most likely take one course of sublingual B12's without it sending your B12 levels through the roof. You need adequate daily B12 to help absorb folate. So better B12 levels mean better folate levels. ... (44 replies)

... Thanks Audrey. Yes... I will start a new thread. Good idea. As for the daughter... Yes. She's had tons of blood tests, cat scans, ultrasounds, upper GI, etc. and so on. We're still waiting on the results of the celiac test. Besides that, everything's come back normal. I don't know that they've done any thyroid tests though. That's something I'm going to look into.
