... It depends on what they give you. Ive had venofer, that takes about an hour (the first dose takes about 2 1/2 - they do it slow to make sure your not allergic first time round). I had them one a one a week for 6 weeks, but cause of heavy menstrual bleeding, I was having them every 3-4 months. The last infusion I had was cosmofer - that took about 8 hours, but they reckon it... (1 replies)

... Kathy5am, Hope that the bone marrow test goes well. Why didn't your doctor do a iron dextran infusion? Have you ever done that? Did it not work?
