... christie, with your levels so low, I would take the IV iron infusion. Even with having IV iron, it still will take you months to get your levels up. I have not have Repliva so I am not sure how long it takes or the amount they are giving you. For me I just finished three IV's in one week. They used Venofer(sp?) because it has less side effects and it was true. If you being... (7 replies)

... Kathy5am, Hope that the bone marrow test goes well. Why didn't your doctor do a iron dextran infusion? Have you ever done that? Did it not work? I just had my first one last week and just now have started to feel OK. It really knocks you for a loop! Do you have heavy cycles? How did your levels get so low. Stephanie (49 replies)
... Just got done with my 5 infusions of venofer! Had no reaction at all. My ferritin went from 5-152 in 5 weeks. I started to get more ambition around the 3rd infusion, but I still get tired easily. Hopefully now, my hair loss will lessen up. For me this was the only route to go, as iron pills just constipate me, and over all make me feel lousy. Marilyn (13 replies)
