Is this a problem?
Nov 22, 2007
I'm not sure if I have a problem. But I thought I'd ask just to be sure. First off let me explain about myself.

My name is Geneviève-Angélique, and I am 21 years old. I got married at 20 to the love of my life. He's 27. Aside from the usual, minor blips here and there, we get along great. My mother and my sister are very close to me, and I'm working on my relationship with my father, which is getting better and better. I have PCOS which directly causes me to have fertility problems. We are trying for a family, and have been for over a year. Going under treatmetns causes a lot of stress.

My question is, is that when I get angry, I tend to bottle it up. With a laugh and a "Don't wrry, it's okay." attitude. Even when I get disappointed over something big, I still don't say anyhting. I just swallow it up and try to see the best in the situation.

But lately,my sister broke a VERY important promise to me and my husband, which directly impacts us. And impacts us in a big, BIG BIG way. But I just swallowed it up and smiled (I was always taught by my parents that a nice lady smiles when she wants to cry, and laugh when she wants to scream.) and said my susal "It's okay, I understand." But I can't let go of my angry feeling.

I tried talking to my mother abotu it, and she took my sister's side and I was being selfish and I ought to be ashamed of myself. That just added to the angry feeling--- I feel like there is a darkness swirling inside of me,and I try to get rid of it. Picture posies and sunshine and such. But it won't go away, I get so angry I could scream. (But don't worry, i wouldnt)

I told my Dh abotu it, and he got mad liek a 'normal' person, yelled and cursed about the situation; not at anyone directly, and then calmed down and said it's time to look for a solution.

But I'm stil mad, and picturing little bunnies and sunshine isn't helping. Is this an anger management problem, or do I just need a bottle of red? ;)
