Whenever I need to lie flat or almost flat on my back (e.g. the dentist's office or during yoga) I get a strange sensation in my head -- a lot of tension along my jaw, pressure in my head -- and just the feeling that my head is too far back. As soon as this feeling starts, my anxiety kicks in (I have health anxiety, generalized anxiety disorder, panic attacks, etc.). Physically, I can't think of anything that would cause these feelings. I'm wondering if others with anxiety have experienced this, or if anyone has any ideas about what might be happening. I don't really want to give up my Svaroopa yoga, or my acupuncture, but they're supposed to *help* my anxiety and instead are sometimes causing it when I have to lie there. Help?
