I suffer from medical anxiety, I'm a hypochondriac. It's horrible, I hate it!

For the last 5 days, on and off (not constant) I have had tingling and a warm sensation in the pads of my thumb and index finger on my left hand. When I really get to thinking about it, it's intense. When it's not on my mind, I hardly notice it.

I went for an MRI of my brain in the beginning of June, my neurologist ordered it because of headaches. The MRI was completely clear except for:

"One tiny 2 mm t2 and flair in the left centrum semovale. No parenchymal present. May indicate demyleniation"

I spoke with my neurologist about my concerns of this being MS, and he said the chances are SLIM TO NONE. He would not be worried, I also asked my PCP after sending her the results, and she agreed as well. I called the neurologist office, to let them know what I was experiencing, and his nurse assured me it is nothing to worry about. But I can't help feeling like it's just being brushed off.

Now, in the last 5 days or so, the tingling and numbness has started in my fingers. But it is not constant. I am unsure whether to chalk this up to anxiety, or to look further. Has anyone with anxiety experienced these symptoms?

Looking for advice to calm me down, or move me to the next step of seeking an MS opinion....

Sincerly,

hypochondriac, worried, erin!
