Feeling drained

Hi, I am new to posting and new to sharing my story. I have had anxiety for as long as I can remember, I believe it became a big part of my life around the age of 11 onwards.

I would always refuse to make contact in any sort of retail shop such as paying at the till etc. I really don't know where the fear of paying for things came from as I was always quite an outgoing and bubbly person. Over the years my anxiety has gotten worse, I can't go into a public place for example restaurants and shops without becoming overwhelmingly hot and sweating profusely. Once the sweating starts I then become paranoid about looking at anyone as they will notice how hot I am, this has often lead to me running off to the nearest toilet or exiting the shop completely.

I am currently working as an administrator and find that upon waking each morning my stomach is already in knots and my chest constantly feels heavy as if I am unable to catch my breath. Throughout the course of the day my stomach will get progressively worse as I am working myself up (for no apparent reason that I can think off apart from that I am unhappy and feel unfulfilled in my job,) meaning that I am constantly suffering from diarrhoea on a daily basis.

I am looking for some advice and maybe some techniques for coping with anxiety as I have been to see a counsellor but found this of little use. I am not on any medication but feel this may be the only way forward as I am worried for my health as I am now suffering from severe heartburn and acid on a daily basis for which I have been prescribed medication.

I am worried that I am making myself ill and am tired and drained as a result of the constant groggy headaches, stomach ache, diarrhoea and acid. Any help / advice would be greatly appreciated.
