Klonopin and Xanax
Jan 26, 2004
I have a question. I was wondering if it would be alright to take Klonopin and Xanax together. I mean if I take the klonopin at night would it be alright to take the Xanax during the day or vice versa? I know that you are not supposed to take them together but sometimes I feel like I get more anxious during the day and the Xanax works faster than the Klonopin. I really like the Klonopin because it does last longer and it doesn't make me hungry all the time. I used to take the Xanax all the time, but everytime I turned around I was eating something or wanting something sweet all of the time. I was gaining weight on them also . I also have another question. Would it be safe to take TrimSpa with the medications I am on. I'm on Wellbutrin XR, Klonopin, Nexium, and sometimes Xanax when needed. I really need to loose this extra weight I have gained. I've been walking on my treadmill when I have the energy. I just feel tired all of the time and no energy, I guess it's because of the meds.
Thanks
to lisar, amny take xanax and klonapin together, its quite OK, fastest way to get relief from any of these benzos is to disolve the tablet under the tongue, much faster than swallowing it
wellbutrin is supposed to greatly reduce your anxiety, if it isnt maybe see doc or a pharmacist about upping the dose or swap to another similar med, sometimes wellbutrin works a while then stops or simply never works at all, some docs wont accept this but its a fact :)
I have taken both for anxiety, and xanax is definitely the "quick fix" as opposed to the longer lasting effects of Klonopin. But my advice would be to NEVER mix any drug combo without first a consultation with a pharmacist and/or doctor. No disrespect to anyone posting, but I'm sure that most of us are patients rather than physicians and are not qualified to give anything more than anecdotal evidence of their own experience.

I agree, I also advised to check with their own doctor or pharmacist, I related only what the pharmacist told me. It would also depend on what other meds a person might be taking or allergic too.
