Went back to the doc's again today to try and articulate the fact that I feel terrible. Got the usual response - it's all just anxiety come back again in a months time - I'm not going to prescibe Beta blockers cos it's just anxiety.

My question is this - over the last few weeks, I've been feeling slightly dizzy with slightly blurred vision and head pressure (not like I'm gonna fall over or anything but distinct none the less). I've had my eyes checked (OK) and my blood pressure has been normal the last few times I've been to the doc's. Regulars will also know from my other posts that I've had echo, ecg, 24hr ecg, blood tests and chest xray - all OK. Can tension and anxiety as my doc reckons, cause these symptoms ie - pressure behind the eyes, light headedness, blurry vision etc?

so your still feeling this way. i just started feeling this way today. Man I can't imagine going any long than a day like this. I feel off balance. Like there is something wrong with my equilibreium. Sinus pressure I guess. I have been really really tired on top of all of these symptoms.
Abbygirl,

They started exactly 1 year 4 months ago ... I first had 2 episodes and then exactly 1 year ago it became constant. I was tested for almost everything (blood, neuro routine tests, ears, parasites, thyroid, MRI, tilt table test, EKG, blood pressure, blood sugar, etc...) The "critical" tests I missed where ECG, Carotid doppler and a Holter test (none of the docs thought they where necessary).

They diagnosed me with the following:

Dehydration
Orthostatic Hypotension
Neurocardiogenic Syncope
Reactive Hypoglycemia

Obviously none of those where true except for the reactive hypoglycemia but that's about it. Reactive Hypoglycemia doesn't cause those symptoms unless you're entering a complete hypoglycemic shock and the funny thing is I once had my blood sugar tested while I felt I was fainting and everything came back normal (same happened with blood pressure).

It just went away with time ... The thing is even though I could have sworn I was going to faint that same minute, I never did. It didn't matter if I layed down, raised my legs or anything ... it was just a constant feeling through out the day and only time I felt alive and well was when I was sleeping. The last thing the Neurologist told me was I might have to live that for the rest of my life and fortunately I just feel slightly dizzy with blurred vision these days.

BTW, I was pale all day long.

I then went to a psychiatrist who never gave me a diagnosis but started giving me a bunch of medications. He prescribed me with klonopin, Lexotan, Zoloft, Xanax, Prozac, Wellbutrin and who knows what else and since I didn't feel better I stoped taking them before I became extremely depenant on them (I'm currently tappering off the last one which is Lexotan).

I hope you get over it soon because I know exactly what you feel like and I'm sure its worst than death itself :(
