Re: Head anxiety
Jun 23, 2004
scottskitty,
i know exactly what u are going throuh, here in Illinois, we have had the same weather (unfortunatly) I have also been having really bad headaches and have been taking allergy meds (allegra, flonase) I dont think they work at all, anyways, i too am convinced that something is wrong in my head i just recently had an mri and ct. I have the same kinds headaches (front pressure) I also get really bad aches at the base of my neck. My doc gave me some muscle relaxers, they seemed to help take off most the pressure. He told me that i am stressing myself out therefore causing myself tension headaches, which just add to the pain of sinus headaches! ( i also have bad sinus problems)
Having anxiety makes every little thing (like a headache) seem more than it is, what has helped me is just to start trying to trust my doc when he says everything is normal! I know it is hard, but the past month i have actually gotten less headaches, and felt better. If you dont mind me asking, what kind of allergies do u have> I am allergic to dust, mold, pollen and grass. I think my allergies bring on my anxiety. I am thinking about changing my meds. i'm not sure if i helped, but good luck!
