Sorry to jump in here, but I have been down 'anxiety road'. CBT skills are learned in cognitive behavioural therapy. These are strategies that you can use to deal with the anxiety and panic.

It's based on facing your fear, actually accepting the experience and living through it. The payoff is that you don't have to rely so much (if at all) on meds and you get to know yourself, and live your life with some confidence. I recommend it.
