Strange symptoms!?
Feb 6, 2005
I am 24 and was just diagnosed with panic disorder on 2-3, in the past week I have had approximatly 8 panic attacks. My worst symptom consists of this feeling coming over me like I am going to pass out. Then my heart starts pounding, my lips and arms go numb, and I start shaking. There is one feeling I can't shake even when the supposed attack is over. It feels like my hands and sometimes feet are not mine. I know I am in control of them but it doesn't seem like it. I also have been having this constant pressure that moves around in my head, and am having a hard time concentrating and thinking clearly. sometimes feels like I am in vertigo? I had catscans of my head and trunk area. My blood work all came back fine. Does anyone know about this stuff? I appreciate any help you can give. These feelings are freaking me out.

Hi

Just to let you know you are not on your own, I have been diagnosed with anxiety/panic disorder and have suffered with the symptoms you are going through. Especially the hands and feet don't feel your own even though you can control them. With anxiety/panic disorder you can get some unreal symptoms which can be very scary. I am sorry I can't be of much help, but I hope its a comfort knowing your not alone and there are some excellent people on this board who can give you advice and support as its been a great comfort and help for me.
