I also cant tolerate ssri's or tri-cyclics for that matter. Tried Zoloft, Prozac,
Pamelor, celexa, lexapro and others.
I also have panic as well as depression. I too wish I could take them. Just about everyone i know does. But then again, is that a good thing? The side effects and long term effects can be the worst of all medications. But, I am so desperate also, want my life back. So in a nutshell, I relate.
I have severe g.i. problems, and they all seem to aggravate that, which i cant afford to do, and they make me feel faint, and increase my anxiety sometimes to heat attack type proportions.
But , I also cant tolerate simple medications that I used to take on regular basis. One theory might be that the panic disorder has established such a bad biology system in your body, that its hard to tolerate any meds.
Panic floods the body with adrenaline, cortisol, histamine, and generally messes up your whole system.
I dont have any answers, but perhaps if we can stabilize our systems in time, some other way, we may be able to tolerate more, or work our way up from minute doses.
Best wishes and prayers.
