For the past 2 days or so I have became obsessed with my breathing. It's ALL I think about. I am in constant fear that I will not be able to breathe. I am constantly trying to take a deep breath and this just makes things worse. I have has anxiety for a long time and recently was diagnosed with a minor heart problem and I have palpitations from it.
This is really driving me crazy. Its almost 6 am and I have been up all night. When I try to fall asleep as soon as I start drifting off I think about breathing again and wake up trying to get a deep breath.
When I am able to get a deep breath I feel ok for a few minutes but then I start worrying again and start fighting to get a deep breath. The only time I have been able to not think about it is when I occupy myself in some way. {REMOVED}
Anyone get this and how do you deal with it? I keep thinking that Im going to live the rest of my life worrying about taking a deep breath.
BTW I am a 28 year old male....
Thanks.
Pez.
