Health anxiety is a common form of anxiety. I struggle with it also. It is a constant cycle - anxiety symptoms-thinking you have a dreadful disease-more anxiety symptoms-worse dreadful disease, etc. If you have been checked out for the breast lump, it probably triggered that fear in all of us that we will not be here forever. I have found that exercise helps my health anxiety more than anything. I am a runner and NEVER have any of my crazy symptoms during a run. This makes me somewhat confident in my body. If I can run a 10K without chest pains, shortness of breath, faint/dizzy spells, tingling sensations, etc. then I probably am not about to drop dead from a heart attack. I don't know if you exercise already, but having your body perform at high endurance levels does alot for my health anxiety. Obviously, there are things that could be going on in your body that wouldn't crop up during exercise, but I think what you are experiencing sounds like anxiety in its purest and most aggravating form - best of luck to you!
