Ok, so I'm getting my script for Lexapro filled today. I'm VERY nervous about taking it as I took Paxil CR back in January and had horrible side effects, didn't feel like myself, ect. I couldn't take care of my daughter or myself, I was miserable. I only lasted 8 days but this time I'm going in with a better attitude about it.
My question is husband and I would like to have another baby within the next year or so. If I start taking Lexapro this week, is it realistic to think I could wean off on 6 months and get pregnant?

That would be my ideal situation but I don't want to get myself excited about it if its not something thats possible. I am in therapy as well and have been for a few months. It helps a lot but I've come to the conclusion that I need medication to get me past this. I take Xanax but even that doesn't seem to be helping much anymore. I can't take my daughter anywhere during the day, I'm constantly worrying and having anxiety/panic attacks and I need help.

Please, let me know if weaning in 6 months is normal or something that isn't possible?
