I am curious....which one of the above do you find most helpful with your anxiety? I understand that we are all different, but am just curious!! I seem to not be having much luck with one of them, and was just looking to see if anyone had an opinion to offer up??
Thanks!!
Xanax because it works so fast. Actually valium works the fastest out of all of them I think, and it also stays in your body for a long time.

Oh, if its ativan you're taking it works better on an empty stomach.
depends on the type of anxiety you have.

if you are more of a panic sufferer, valium wouldn't be a good choice. its better for generalized anxiety, not really as helpful for panic attacks.

xanax is a good choice for anxiety sufferers and panic attacks.

ativan is similar to xanax, just weaker... .5mg of xanax=1mg of ativan.

klonopin is better for racing thoughts... its not as good if you suffer with depression, because it has been shown to decrease the release of serotonin.
This is what the pharmacist told me. Ativan is the fastest acting. You will within minutes feel it taking affect. It also stops working sooner. Xanax takes about 20 minutes to take affect but it will be longer acting. Valium takes about the same time as Xanax to take affect however it helps with multiple types of anxiety. Klonopin/Clonopin is the slowest acting and has less of a "kick" to it.

Out of all of these, the pharmacist told me, Klonopin is the quickest to get addicted to, ativan second, xanax third and valium fourth. He also told me valium is the benzo that should be used if you choose to quit the benzos and do a taper program.

Hope this helps.
