Hey mjewell  Glad to talk to you again as well. I have missed following you and your trials with this - whatever it is. I jumped off of here for a while because it was getting to the point to where I couldn't relate. I don't worry over health. At a particular time, alot of the anxiety issues were worrying over health. Not that I don't believe thats a legitimate anxiety cause, I just couldn't add to the topics. I think you know what I'm trying to say. I'm just one of those fast paced, perfectionist and have alot of responsibility at work and home. Even so, it could be the prettiest day of the year and everything is going along just fine, then - WHAM - I have an anxiety attack. It is so embarassing. Especially around colleagues when you start to ramble or your hands shake. :o

Glad to know the Lexapro is working for you. If I remember correctly, you were kinda "iffy" about it after a couple of weeks. Do you have any side effects? I am trying this Seroquel and trying to forget the anti-psychotic part and it seems to help as much as an AD does for others. AD's just didn't work for me. However weight gain is a common side effect with Seroquel. It's always a catch-22 it seems with meds. Anyway, I'm glad to know you are able to manage through social situations now and rely less on your Xanax. I can see you getting to the point of only carrying one with you "just in case." Did you go through any xanax withdrawals? I mean did you find that one day you just didn't feel needing one, therefore not taking it? Did that at least make you shaky?
I can relate, I don't really have health issues either, I just get this awful chronic nervousness for no reason.

If the seroquel is working who the hell cares if it is an anti-psychotic? Whatever works for you is what you should take. Who cares what other people think. I bet half the people you see every day are on some weird med for some weird problem and you would never suspect it in a million years.

I didn't really get any side effects with Lexapro at all - occasional night sweats, but that isn't really bothersome. I also have never experienced any Xanax withdrawals at all. I am lucky I guess, i have a pretty high tolerance to meds...it takes a lot to bother me. Of course they say at less than 2 mgs a day of Xanax most people aren't at risk for withdrawals. Yes, I just feel like I didn't need one so i don't take it. I never have had a regular schedule taking them though, I have always just taken as needed, it just got where "as needed" was twice a day for a while. I have gained some weight in the last few months, but I know I am also eating more too!
