me too -- then reality (or something) begins to set in :( ...

I've just had my first "not bad" day on this stuff ... most GPs/PCPs don't think of them anymore. It was my psychiatrist who put me on them ("b/c they are measureable in the bloodstream"), but it was a mental health nurse who explained the reason that they're better ...

When one goes to a shrink who is associated with a hospital that deals with mood disorders (as well as the usual assortment of patients who are bi-polar, schizophrenic, paranoid-schizophrenic, or have PTSD), a whole slew of other resources kicks in ... this particular hospital has mental health nurses, occupational therapists, and social workers who can provide counselling (including CBT). I didn't realise that, and when I could no longer afford psychological counselling (not that I'd had much), I felt a bit embarrassed b/c I don't really need psychiatric services as such. But it was a good thing to do, and I wish I'd thought of it before. (Of course, my inept GP didn't think to tell me, the jerk  . But I realise now that one must take one's health into one's own hands -- the old days are gone.)

Anyhoo, that's my story and I'm sticking to it ;) ...
