I think it depends on what you're using it for. I, too, had success on Zoloft when I first started it because it helped me relax and got rid of a lot of my irritability. However, if you ONLY have panic disorder or ONLY have OCD or ONLY have GAD, then it's probably going to be more successful. I think it probably is the best for GAD and social anxiety, though, in my opinion. I have panic attacks, GAD, severe OCD, and Asperger's, and although the Zoloft did help quiet the OCD somewhat, it never helped me with my panic attacks. I have found that only a Klonopin will do that. I'm on Prozac now, and it, too, doesn't help with my panic attacks. I don't even know if it helps with my OCD or not. The Klonopin wins and my Lamictal is excellent, but as for the Prozac, I don't know if it's beneficial to me or not. I think, though, that if you're going to try an SSRI, that Zoloft is probably the best one. It is a very good medication, and it got me through hell for a year, but it just wasn't enough...
