Hey there, sorry you are going through such a rough time. Maybe it's time to switch from the physcologist to a phychiatrist (bad speller so I'm not sure if I got them right). I don't know why pills are not an option for you but I'm sure you have your reasons. My anxiety is too overwhelming at times that pills help with anxiety attacks. I don't know why you are so obsessed with your mouth and tongue but do you get a dry mouth with the anxiety? Try chewing gum or tic tacs. I know it's hard to believe when you are young, but here's some words of wisdom from a 47 yr old. I realized as I got older that people were not paying as much attention to me as I used to think they were. They are often thinking about the next thing they are going to say rather than focusing on and scrutinizing your whole face. I don't know about other people, but when I'm speaking to someone, I'm looking at their eyes, not their mouth. Another thing I've realized as I've gotten older is noone about what you're wearing. I used to agonize over what to wear to work, social functions etc. Now I just grab something appropriate and throw it on.
Anyway, I hope I made you feel a little better and do consider a phychiatrist -8 months with who you are seeing is a long time to not have good results.
Best wishes!
