First off, I have similiar feelings to you, avoid anti-depressants unless absolutely necessary. The fact that you are eating healthy and exercising is a good start!

Caffeine can and does definitely affect anxiety. I am extremely sensitive to any form of caffeine (including chocolate), so be careful about your caffeine intake (and it isn't that great for you anyway). Perhaps try replacing your coffee with chamomille or peppermint tea (known for their relaxing properties, something those of us with anxiety desperately need!).

As far as other things you can do, I am currently taking 5-htp, a naturally occurring amino acid and precursor for serotonin (under the guidance of a naturopathic doctor) and it really does lessen my anxiety. Also, magnesium has relaxing properties but be careful because it made me so sick to my stomach I had to stop taking it. GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) is another amino acid that acts as a neurotransmitter, although I have never taken it, I have heard great things!

Last, I am just starting to get into yoga per my naturopathic doctor's suggestion. She said it is very stress-relieving and relaxing to the body. Just a note, the any yoga pose where the feet get over the head or a downward dog type position are great for anxiety because they help support the parasympathetic nervous system!
