Confused 32 I bet when you had the breathing problem you thought it was because of your HEART - as do I!!!!!

I have this breathing thing too, not all the time as I used to. I do wonder if it's a bit related to things that I eat. Yesterday I ate a biscuit from Muffin Bake which I'm sure had some sort of preservative. Wine can make me a bit like that too. But I think anxiety definitely exacerbates it. I think sometimes it happens because the oxygen/carbon dioxide levels in the body get out of whack. WHen I feel myself starting to breathe like that and it getting stuck I breathe in and hold my breath for 15 seconds and then let it out very slowly. this seems to help a bit with panic attacks too. once you start to think you can't breathe then you can't - it's that simple. and it's very hard to get rid of a thought once it's stuck in your head. But try that breath holding thing, too.
