I have been having this issue too. I am 25 years old. I just started lexapro about 3 weeks ago or a little longer than that. I noticed just a few days ago my blood pressure was abnormally high. Normal blood pressure should be in the range of 120/70. Mine upon waking this morning was 142/111. Thats pretty high. It may be because of genetics. My mother was 26 when she was diagnosed with hypertension. I could be because of the medication. Or it could be because of a thyroid problem. I also noticed my heart rate gets fast when I am anxious and then slows down. The lexapro helps the fast heart beat. Upon waking this morning it was 101. So its confusing. That could also be from either anxiety and/or thyroid. I am going on Monday to get a full thyroid testing done because in the hospital when I was rushed in for my first panic attakck I was told that my thyroid was "normal" but they only did the TSH hesting. In order to find out whether or not the thyroid is the underlying cause of the whole anxiety/panic thing I have to find out through getting a complete thyroid testing. Maybe you should check with the doctor about getting one. Many people who suffer from panic attacks/anxiety or depression go unchecked for thyroid issue which is the underlying cause. So thats what I am going to do just in case. My lexapro helps with my panic but I have been losing weight since before I started lexapro and my nausea is in full effect in the morning. And I also get this choking sensation in my throat.
