Hey Natty,

I took Lexapro for 6 weeks and it simply did not work for me. I've been on Zoloft since January which worked better for me until recently - my anxiety has gone thru the roof. I've been on a lot of different anti-depressants and they have the same affect on my appetite - I never get hungry. I only eat once a day, if that. My metabolism has slowed down because I pretty well stay at 125 5'4". My drjust added seroquel to take at night for sleep and that has helped with the insomnia, where ambien had stopped working.

You are probably like me. Some people eat when they are stressed or depressed. I have to be somewhat happy and content to eat. I've been like that all my life

Best wishes,

JB
Hi Natty,

I can identify with you on the no hunger. When I started on my meds (sertraline) I absolutely was not hungry. I could barely choke down a poptart in the morning. I could go most of the day till late afternoon before eating. i lost about 10 pounds which was OK with me. ;)

My appetite has leveled off and I have kept off most of the weight.

It takes awhile for your body to adjust to these meds. I, too, felt awful when I started taking the meds. I had the internal jitters like crazy, no appetite, stiff neck and jaw clenching. I thought I would take it and feel fine right away not.... but, the body goes through some "changes" that mostly go away. I still fight insomnia every night and the sexual disfunction...oh well. But.....i don't have panic attacks anymore.

Good Luck to you!
