If you think your level of physical fitness is pretty good already then it could be just a lot of internalized stress. Talk therapy may help you with various underlying issues you may be having in your life that you might not be dealing with effectively or want to face. If there are issues that need to be sorted out in the open a licensed therapist can certainly help with that.

Other things that can explain unexplained mood swings is hormonal imbalances. Speak to the doctor and tell them of your symptoms and maybe get bloodwork done. You said you don't think your gyno can help. On the contrary I think your gyno has dealt with many cases of mood swings due to hormonal issues. It might be worth it to bring it up to them and if she doesn't think it's hormonal she can refer you to someone else. Good luck.
