Hi there, I have health-related anxiety and panic disorder. The past few years, I have been on a wild goose chase trying to find the "illness" that my doctor has failed to diagnose. Overall, I am doing better with cognitive behavior therapy and a tiny bit of clonazepam (0.125 mg) as needed, usually every 3-4 days.

There is one thing that I haven't been able to explain. Every time I exercise or do an activity where I will be sore the next day or two, it triggers my anxiety. I don't understand it. Before my panic disorder, I would work out at the gym, get sore and move on with life. Perhaps it is my overall hypersensitivity and body vigilance that is causing this.

In addition to feeling anxious when sore, I get a general sense of malaise, some fatigue and almost as if the skin on my face is hot (no fever). I've been thinking of being testing for an autoimmune disease (lupus, crohn's, etc.), but I don't want to feed my anxiety disorder and continue the wild goose chase.

Can anyone else relate to this situation?
