I really hope your dr has more advice; have you thought about or tried a fast acting anxiety med like say xanax? That's what I'm currently using in addition to my antidepressant and it seems for work pretty well. They're only prescribed for short term use (they are usually addicting) until (hopefully) your antidepressant will start helping relieve the anxiety on it's own, this may take several months...

How is your antidepressant working for you? How long have you been on it? It may be that the antidepressant is causing your anxiety and you may need to switch to another.

I don't know your personal life but I could not imagine caring for a child, myself, and dealing with that level of additional stress. Try to find time to do things you enjoy and get a good amount of sleep (drink bedtime tea while reading a book or writing in a journal if you have trouble sleeping)

Take care
