Ok guys I'm a 27 year old male. I don't smoke or drink or do drugs of any kind other than take my klonopin.

Here's my dilemma, I had anxiety when I was 15-16 years old and it was pretty bad but nothing major. I took a small dose of xanax for around a year and eventually just stopped taking and was living a perfectly normal life.

Fast forward 9 years later and I just sat down to watch some TV with my family and all the sudden felt this weird tingling sensation over my right ear and instantly my heart started racing. I started feeling numb on my right sde and short of breath. in my mind I'm thinking I am having a stroke! I went to the ER right away where they started running tests EKG, cat scan blood work everything thing checked out and honestly after laying there a while in the bed I started feeling better but just to be on the safe side they sent me to the main hospital in town and ran a MRI,ECG ultra sound on my corroded arteries, the DR found something he said he wasn't to sure about so he scheduled me an appointment with a cardiologist.. Well the cardiologist thought I might have alight chance of having a small hole in my heart that could have caused me to have a TIA (mini stroke) so they did a TEE scan and it came back normal what it all came down to is they just think I had a extreme panic attack.....

Ok I can live with that, so once again I started taking something which was klonopin 0.5 mg twice daily and I was ok with that for a while I would still have anxiety attacks from time to time thinking something was wrong anytime I had a slight pain in my chest. It after 2-3 more trips to the ER they didn't really find anything so I just dealt with it...

Well here goes with my current issue, I am currently having palpitations that are so constant I can't sleep or do much else, they don't hurt at all but anytime I get still such as laying down, sitting down on the couch in the quiet standing in one place with out moving cor a minute. I mean they are ALWAYS THERE AND DON'T STOP I have taken extra klonopins in between my normal doses and I does nothing sometimes the palpitations ease up some and are not as bad but they NEVER go away. And it's not like I'm feeling my heart skipping a beat or it stops I just constantly feel my heart beating in my chest and upper shoulder area, like I said there's no pain associated with it and my BP and pulse are pretty normal.

I'm just lost it's ruining my life I cannot sleep they are so bad when I lay down so I jet have to sit on the couch and watch tv or play on the computer to keep me from noticing them. Also after I do sleep for 4-5 hours I wake up and they sometimes are not there but as soon as I do any kind of activity such as picking up something off the floor or playing with my son it's like boom they are hardcore like beating really hard and I have to sit for a while before it goes back to where I can deal With them again.... I am so lost and so drained of feeling this way it makes me just flat out mad!
