Phone Phobia
Jan 5, 2012
I am curious as to whether or not anyone else can relate to this. I am diagnosed with general anxiety disorder, have been for 15 years. I take Lithium, which has pretty much cancelled out any depression I used to suffer from and Lorazepam for sleeping for chronic Insomnia which began about 20 years ago when I was in my mid teens. I have no fear in talking to people in person or in front of a group of people and am quite social. However, when it comes to making phone calls, work phone calls, not personal, I feel as if I am back trying to do an oral report when I was 16. Overrun with anxiety and my brain just shuts down, avoiding it at all costs. I have had this for many yrs and I am going to bring it up with my DR, but I was wondering if anyone else can relate to this?
Thank you
